Game Milestones
Anthony Wilson (Under 16's) played his 100th Game for the Junior Jets on Saturday the 3 May 08. He becomes the 5th player to reach this milestone. Tara White (under 14's) became the second girl in the Club to reach 50 games on Saturday the 3 May 08. Jack Akeroyd joined the list of 50 game players on Saturday the 3 May 08. Well done to all three players who have displayed great commitment to the Junior Jets. Well done.

Auskick
Auskick has recommenced for season 2008. Auskick sessions take place at Amaroo Oval every Sunday from 10 - 11.30 am. For more information on Auskick please click here.

Boundary Umpires required
AFL Canberra is looking for new boundary umpires for Senior games. A number of junior footballers already run boundaries on days when they are not playing. It is a great way to watch senior football, learn how to read the play and keep fit all at the same time. And better still you get paid to do it. Boundary umpires can earn from $40 to $70 for a game depending on the grade and ability. No prior experience is required, training is provided. Just a reasonable level of fitness and the ability to throw in the ball is needed. Female umpires are most encouraged. We already have a number of females running the boundary. Formal training is conducted on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:45 pm at Manuka. Attendance at least one night a week is preferred but is not essential. Start of season announced by AFL Canberra
The 2008 season is set to kick off on Saturday the 3rd May with all grades and comnpetitions. The U12's, U14's and U16's have two planned grading days on Saturday the 5th April and Saturday 12 April to determine which grade the teams will be put into. Game times provided by the League for each age group are as follows:

U10s 9am
U11s 10.45am
U12s 9am
U14s div 2 9am
Under14s div 1 10.45am
U16s div 2 1045am
U16s div 1 12.30pm

Gungahlin Jets Women's Team in 2008!
Its official, the Gungahlin JETS will be entering their first ever women’s team in the 2008 ACTWAFL season! If your looking for a sport with a little more rough and tumble, or would like to meet some new people and join a family friendly AFL club in the Gungahlin region, come along to an information session on Tuesday 27 November at Gungahlin Lakes (Cnr Gundaroo Rd & Gungahlin Dr) from 7.30pm.
